ARTIST STATEMENT

I come from the world of painting. I am interested in exploring the symbolic and hieratic forms of Byzantine iconography, as well as its mystical and religious aspects. Perhaps, because it connects me with the loss and rebellion of the supposedly accepted "nature" of things. With my work I try to recover stolen spaces, connect with my identity and that of others, memory and history recovery. Since 2013, I have begun to venture into other languages such as photography, digital intervention, three-dimensional works and collaborative work with other artists that allows me to open up to new languages, horizons of encounters and my searches.
